Dr. Suat Günsel Kyrenia College bid farewell to the 2024-2025 academic year graduates with a magnificent graduation ceremony. The ceremony, held at the University of Kyrenia Grand Library, witnessed unforgettable moments for students, parents, and teachers.
The opening speeches of the ceremony, which saw intense participation, were made by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Near East Enterprises, Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel, and Dr. Suat Günsel Kyrenia College School Principal Şermin Mayın. In the emotional night, students who received their graduation certificates walked onto the stage with applause, while their teachers and families watched this special moment with pride. Dr. Suat Günsel Kyrenia College teachers also experienced the rightful pride of sending their students off to the future with self-confidence and universal values. Graduating students achieved significant success by being accepted to prestigious higher education institutions around the world as well as prestigious universities in Turkey.
The graduation ceremony ended with a cap throwing ceremony and souvenir photos; the young graduates were sent off to the new stop of their educational journey.
Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel: “We are so happy that this year our graduates were accepted to universities all around the world such as England, the United States, South Korea and Japan, as well as our own country.”
Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Near East Enterprises, Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel, said, “In the Near East education tradition on which Dr. Suat Günsel Kyrenia College was established, we did not see education as limited to transferring knowledge. We defined it as a journey that builds character, prepares the individual for life and adds value.” Prof. Dr. Günsel, who emphasized that they continue to develop the physical facilities of Dr. Suat Günsel Kyrenia College, said, “Our new building, which we built specifically for our school, is now completely ready for education with its modern classrooms, laboratories, seminar hall and indoor and outdoor sports areas. However, we know very well that education does not only flourish in buildings, it also flourishes in an atmosphere where science, art, sports and ethical values come together. Thus, we take care to grow our values as much as our infrastructure.”
Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel also said, “We are happy that this year our graduates were accepted to universities all around the world such as England, the United States, South Korea and Japan, as well as our country.”, and addressed the graduates in his final words, “Dear graduates, I want you to know that we are proud of each and every one of you! May your path be clear, your heart be brave and your mind be free!”

“Today, we are proud to graduate our students, whose development we witnessed as individuals and whom we raised with hard work and love,” said Dr. Suat Günsel Girne Kyrenia College School Principal Şermin Mayın, adding, “Each of our students made not only us proud, but also their families and the entire school community proud, with their determination, stance and achievements.” Stating that the students were equipped not only with academic knowledge but also with human values, Şermin Mayın addressed the students and said, “A new journey is now beginning. May your path be clear, your luck be abundant and your heart always full of hope.”
